Portfolius - Now making Playlist is a Snap!

Portfolius is a first-of-a-kind QuickTime Tool that allows you to compile multiple Clips into a single, cross-platform playlist movie. This chapter-based movie allows you direct access to any clip and is an excellent vehicle for creating podcast, educational materials, product promotions or business presentations (or organizing the gazillion video clips imported from your new video camcorder using QuickTime 7).

Features

Organize Your Video Assets
Portfolius’s intuitive user interface makes organizing and managing your Playlists easy. Most tasks can be initiated with a single mouse click, a keyboard shortcut or by simple drag’n’drop. Portfolius also provides live Playlist filtering and interactive Clip enabling.

• Create a Portable Digital Portfolio
Portfolius allows you compile Clips from a Playlist into a single movie with Chapter Marks, one mark for each Clip in the Playlist. The Chapter Marks appear on a pop-up menu in the movie controller and allow you to directly navigate to each Clip in the compilation. Chapter-based movies are an excellent solution for delivering podcast, multi-media presentations, educational or instructional material, and any related material contained in several individual Clips.

• Bring the Internet to Your Playlist
Portfolius works with Clips stored on your hard drive, as well as, Clips that can be referenced with a valid URL. Portfolius treats both types of movies equally. This allows you to build a highly-portable movie that can be easily distributed and viewed by anyone connected to the internet.

• Build Cross-Platform Movies
Portfolius, by default, builds a reference-based movie - a movie that contains pointers to the Clips, not the Clips themselves. Reference-based movies have the advantage of being small. Portfolius also offers the user the ability to create a self-contained movie - a movie that bundles the Chapter Marks and the actual media of the Clip. This file is highly portable and may be shared across different systems without any problems.

• Maximize Your Media
Portfolius uses QuickTime to handle all the media types in your Playlist, including MPEGs, FLASH, MP3s, JPEGs, and many others. Subsequently, your Playlist can be compiled using music, video, still images or other media types. This allows you to mix and match media types to achieve the best results for your task.
